Cancer has touched my life in so many ways, which is why this cause means so much to me.
In 2024, my closest childhood friend, Lilly, was diagnosed with Stage 3 melanoma. Watching her face that battle with such bravery was both heartbreaking and inspiring. After a year of treatments, she recently rang the bell and is now cancer-free! I couldn't be more proud of her throughout her journey, and I love her to the moon and back.
My passion for supporting cancer research also comes from my professional experience. Before my current role, I worked at MGH's Cancer Center, where I contributed to brain and breast cancer research. Seeing firsthand the impact that research and dedicated healthcare teams can have on patients and their families reinforced my commitment to advancing this important work.
Cancer has also taken people I love. I lost both of my grandfathers to this disease, and I carry their memories with me every single day. Their stories, along with Lilly's, remind me why continued research and support are so critical.
I'm fundraising to help fuel the breakthroughs that give patients hope, improve treatments, and save lives. Thank you for helping me honor those we've lost, celebrate those who have survived, and fight for those still in the battle. ❤️
