Every mile fights cancer.
In 2020, we received entries into the Boston Marathon through the City of Boston. Unfortunately, the race was canceled due to the pandemic and running events were put on hold. During that time, running took on a life of its own, and we were able to build an entire program dedicated to helping runners challenge themselves while making an impact.
Today, we've carefully curated what we believe to be some of the best races in the world. From the World Marathon Majors to the SuperHalfs Series, from destination races to beach getaways, there's an opportunity for every type of runner.
With personalized coaching, fundraising support, and an incredible community behind you, we're here to help you cross the finish line while making every mile count.
Run for something bigger than medals. Run to fight cancer.

Our story
Haymakers for Hope began with boxing, but our mission has always been bigger than one sport.
Running gives people another way to challenge themselves, honor loved ones, and raise critical funds in the fight against cancer.
Whether you're chasing your first finish line or completing your sixth Marathon Major, you'll join a community of runners committed to making every mile matter.
Every step you take helps fund cancer research, care, awareness, and survivorship.

Haymakers for Hope receives a limited number of official charity entries for select races around the world. To be considered, you'll need to submit an application for the race you're interested in. Our team reviews every application and selects runners who demonstrate a commitment to both training and fundraising. If accepted, you'll receive an official race entry (charity bib) along with everything you need to prepare for race day.
A charity bib is an official race entry provided through a nonprofit partner. Instead of qualifying through a time standard or lottery, runners commit to raising funds for a charitable cause in exchange for guaranteed entry into the race. By running with Haymakers for Hope, every mile you complete helps support cancer research, care, awareness, and survivorship.
Every race organization is different. When running for charity you will receive guaranteed entry into your dream race, however, it is not always complimentary. Some races require runners to pay for their own registration. Additionally, running for charity does not cover the cost of travel, food, entertainment or additional running equipment.
Absolutely. You don't need to be an experienced runner to join our team. Whether you're tackling your first half marathon, your first marathon, or working toward a personal best, our coaching program is designed to support runners of all experience levels from training through race day.
No. Applying does not guarantee acceptance into the program. Because our charity entries are limited, every application is carefully reviewed. Accepted runners receive an official race bib along with fundraising information, coaching resources, and onboarding materials.
Our race calendar features some of the most sought-after races in the world, including:
Accepted runners receive much more than a race entry. Your program includes:

Every dollar raised helps Haymakers for Hope fund cancer research, care, awareness, and survivorship programs. Since our founding, our community has raised millions of dollars to help advance the fight against cancer.
Absolutely. Many of our runners are first-time fundraisers. We'll provide fundraising tools, best practices, email templates, social media ideas, and one-on-one support to help you reach your fundraising goal.
Yes. Any accepted runner has the option to receive a structured training plan along with coaching support. Whether you're training for your first race or your fastest finish, you'll have guidance every step of the way.
Absolutely. Many of our runners participate alongside friends, family members, or coworkers. If you'd like to apply with someone else or build a team for a specific race, let us know in your application and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
When you join Haymakers for Hope, you're joining more than a race team. You'll receive personalized coaching, fundraising support, exclusive team gear, and become part of a passionate community committed to making a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer. Every mile has purpose, and every finish line helps move our mission forward.
Yes. Many runners return year after year or take on multiple events with Haymakers for Hope. Whether you're working toward completing all the Marathon Majors or simply looking for your next challenge, we'd love to have you continue your journey with us.
Our goal is to build teams of runners who are excited to train, fundraise, and represent Haymakers for Hope. While acceptance depends on the number of available charity entries for each race, we encourage anyone who is passionate about our mission to apply.
Because charity entries are limited, we aren't able to accept every applicant. If you're not selected for your first-choice race, we encourage you to apply for another event or join us in a future season. Many of our runners are accepted after applying again.
