Goal
Patrick and I are proud to be running the 2026 New York City Marathon together in support of Haymakers for Hope.
This will be the first full marathon for both of us, and we’re lacing up our running shoes with a purpose: to support those battling cancer and to raise funds for cancer research, care, awareness, and survivorship.
Our connection to this cause is deeply personal.
Cancer has touched our family in many ways. Our cousin Kyle battled childhood leukemia. Our grandmother fought cancer throughout her life. We lost our Uncle Steve to cancer, and another uncle has been courageously battling the disease over the past few years.
Like so many families, we know how deeply cancer affects not just individuals, but everyone who loves them.
Our journey with Haymakers for Hope actually started a few years ago. The first race we ever fundraised for was with our sister when we ran the Haymakers path in New York. It was a really special moment for our family, and it shaped how we think about showing up for causes that matter.
In 2024, we ran our first half marathon together through Haymakers for Hope and saw firsthand the impact a community can have when it rallies around a cause. That experience inspired us to take on an even bigger challenge this year.
Running 26.2 miles through New York City will likely be one of the biggest physical challenges we’ve taken on. Training is long, uncomfortable, and sometimes intimidating. But every time it feels hard, we remind ourselves that there are far greater battles people are facing every day.
This run is for them.
Haymakers for Hope brings together fighters and runners to raise critical funds for cancer research and patient support. Every step we take and every mile we run is another step toward knocking out cancer.
If you feel compelled to support us in reaching our fundraising goal, we would be incredibly grateful. Your generosity helps fund lifesaving research and moves us closer to a future where no one has to face cancer alone.
Just as importantly, we would love to hear your story — how cancer has impacted you or someone you love.
Thank you to everyone who has already donated, shared, and supported us. It truly means the world to us.
