Hi everyone! We’re Chandler Runnells and Emalie Clark—two runners who literally crossed paths at a run club one day and, within minutes, became best friends.

It turns out, we had a lot more in common than our love of running. We’re both dog lovers, former athletes–Emalie played college soccer, while Chandler competed as an equestrian–and incredibly close with our families. We also share a deeply personal connection to cancer: both of us have family members who have battled cancer, including family members currently in remission, and we have each experienced the heartbreak of losing loved ones.

Emalie, a three-time marathoner, has personally raised more than $20,000 for Haymakers in honor of a family member who is now in remission. She encouraged Chandler to apply for the opportunity to raise money through the 2027 London Marathon—and now here we are!

Our fundraising goal is big, but we have never met a challenge we could not take on. Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to our goal and helps support an organization that means so much to us.
