What's up everybody!
Big news - I'll be taking on my 2nd marathon ever at Berlin, 2026! I'm partnering up with Haymakers for Hope to raise funds for cancer research, care, awareness, and survivorship. As a healthcare professional, practicing and competing martial artist, and a person who values community it only made sense to take on this challenge with Haymakers for Hope.
Cancer has impacted my family and I greatly, and countless other lives. My late grandmother passed in 2025 due to breast cancer, and I experienced first-hand how it can impact those battling it and the family/caregivers providing support. On September 26th, 2026, I'll be running 26.2 miles for those affected by cancer. You are the real fighters in life. You're strength and resilience inspire me every day.
My fundraising goal is $4000 or more by the race date, and I would be incredibly grateful to have your support. Your donation is tax-deductible, and most importantly helps support individuals and families affected by this disease. Your kindness and support in this journey would be appreciated.
If you're able, please consider donating or sharing my story to help reach our goal. I am happy to represent Haymakers for Hope in Berlin in their efforts to support those in need. I fight, run and challenge myself for causes and reasons bigger than me, and with your support we could "knockout" cancer together. On that note, see you at the starting line. LFG!
All the best,
Carlo Lumicao
With your generous donations - Fundraising will go to H4H's Fight Continued programming: https://haymakersforhope.org/about-programming. H4H launched a pilot study with Mass General to give the H4H fitness program to cancer survivors local to Boston. This 16-week program was offered to survivors with the goal of physical fitness training and rehabilitation decreasing the likelihood of cancer recurrence. Individuals in this program will not participate in an actual boxing match but will do the personalized training to restore function and improve fitness. Each participant will be sponsored throughout the entire program, incurring zero training expenses!
Additionally, H4H works closely with cancer organizations from across the country. H4H has a long standing relationship with Dana Farber/The Jimmy Fund, Mass General, Memorial Sloan Kettering, First Descent, Camp Casco and For Kids Sake Foundation Incorporated with a focus on neuroblastoma.
