When I heard that a close friend of mine had been diagnosed with breast cancer, my first thought was "but we are too young for this". Unfortunately, the story is a common one. Cancer is a terrible disease that has taken many loved ones far too soon. Parents, friends, partners; we all know someone who has been diagnosed. We all have been that person anxiously hoping for positive news, praying for a new treatment to work. 

Cancer research has resulted in significant, life-saving discoveries over the past 10 years. Please join me in supporting the researchers who are fighting to find the next breakthrough. 

I am fighting alongside my brave, beautiful friends currently going through treatment, in celebration of my friends and coworkers who have already fought the battle, and in honor of my wonderful, loving grandmother Rita.
