Every single one of us has more than likely been affected by cancer in one way or another. I personally was diagnosed with Thyroid cancer in 2015. I ultimately had my Thyroid removed and I was lucky enough to beat it. Since then I have had constant struggles with weight and energy due to constantly trying to keep my medicine and hormones in balance. This event is a dual purpose opportunity for me. One, to fight the disease that affects so many of us and two, to have the reason and motivation to get in shape and be an athlete again.
