Cancer has deeply affected me, especially since both my grandma and grandpa were diagnosed with lung cancer. Watching them go through their battles was incredibly difficult, and it's something I'll never forget. My grandma fought with unmatched strength, but being diagnosed with multiple sclerosis as well, she was too sick to undergo treatment. My grandpa was also taken by the same disease years later, shortly after spending one last Christmas with us.
That's why I am stepping into the ring. Not just for the fight, but for the bigger purpose. Every punch I throw is in honor of my grandparents and everyone else else who's been affected by this disease. I am honored to join Haymakers for Hope and support their mission to give others a fighting chance.
