I’m honored to be stepping into the ring for Haymakers for Hope in support of cancer research and awareness. This fight is deeply personal for me. My brother, Luke, was diagnosed with Stage IIIB cancer in August 2021. Watching him face an “uncurable and inoperable” diagnosis at just 30 years old was one of the hardest experiences of my life—but it also showed me the meaning of courage, resilience, and hope.
After enduring countless treatments and surgeries, Luke fought his way to being declared “No Evidence of Disease” a year later. And last year, he proved that his fight wasn’t just in the hospital—he stepped into the ring for Haymakers for Hope, gave it his all, and won his bout.
Luke’s story—and my family’s story—doesn’t end there. Both Luke and I carry the Lynch syndrome genetic mutation, which increases the risk of certain cancers. This diagnosis has made cancer a constant part of our lives, but it’s also fueled my determination to step up, raise awareness about this condition, and fight back against cancer.
Now it’s my turn to step into the ring. I’m fighting to honor my brother’s victory, to raise $7,500 for life-saving cancer research, and to bring awareness to Lynch syndrome and the importance of genetic testing.
Cancer touches too many lives, and we must do more to fight back. Every donation brings us closer to knocking out this disease for good. Together, let’s support those in the fight, remember those we’ve lost, and celebrate the victories that remind us of what’s possible.
Join me in this fight. Your support means the world—to me, to Luke, and to everyone affected by cancer.
Let’s fight for a cure and raise awareness for those at risk.
