My decision to pursue this endeavor with Haymakers for Hope is fueled by my three-year journey with my aunt as she fought her own battle with cancer. She won her battle and was able to be present for the birth of her second grandchild. I am fighting for those around me who have fought in the past and are currently in their own battle with cancer. Everyone should have the opportunity to achieve their goals and see the important milestones of the friends and family that surround them. Strength, discipline, and endurance are qualities that help a person battle this disease. I invite you to follow my boxing journey as I challenge myself to develop these characteristics. I hope to help give researchers the resources needed to fully focus their efforts on finding a cure.
