We give everyday men and women the opportunity to fight back against this terrible disease by training for, and competing in charity boxing events to raise money and awareness. To prepare for each event, we combine the efforts of the first time amateur boxing participants, local boxing gyms and volunteers. We hope to help give life saving researchers the resources needed to fully focus their efforts on finding a cure.
Haymakers for Hope’s mission is to knockout cancer the only way we know how, by literally fighting for a cure. The money that I fundraise will go directly to the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center. I am fighting for my Grandpa Brennan, who I never had the opportunity to really know; I am fighting for everyone who has lost a loved one to cancer and for those who are not able to fight for themselves. If you're still wondering why I am doing this (sorry mom!!), remember that I was raised by parents who led me to believe I can do anything, instilled an incredible drive in me and reinforced the importance of giving back.
