I am fighting to represent Aurora Science & Tech HS, DSST's first school in Aurora Public Schools!  AST is one of six K-12 schools in the US that sits on a medical campus, but it is the only school in the US that is open enrollment - this means students can get into AST just by random lottery.  We sit on the Anschutz Medical Campus and UC Health, and our dynamic partnership allows our students to have a one-of-a-kind education focused in the biosciences.

As the leader of our school, I want to model for my students and community that we can step out of our comfort zone and learn new things.  I also want to integrate into our community, which is why I've chosen to train in Aurora at House of Pain East.  We want to continue to build pride in our community, and I think that fighting is a great way to continue to build pride for AST and Aurora.

AST started in 2019, and our first class is now 9th graders - paving the way for our high schools in Aurora.  I am so humbled to lead this phenomenal school, and one of the topics my students are most interested in is around cancer and cancer research.  We've had many experiences with the AMC Cancer Research Center, and fighting to raise money for cancer is one way I can honor my students and the AMC Cancer Center.
