Hello everyone, thanks for stopping by my fight page! As many of you know, my mom passed away from cancer in 2017. She is one in an unfortunately long line of loved ones that I've lost throughout the years to cancer. Not to mention my friends and family who are in remission and continue to fight the good fight!

I opened this bio with the definition of power. It's something I've always valued in my life. The power to shape my life, the power to overcome challenges, the power to achieve my goals, and the power to change perspectives. I hold this type of power to influence my life's journey sacred and am thankful for having this mindset.

However, when it comes to cancer I've felt nothing but powerless. After the tough diagnoses, after all the tears, after the sleepless nights, all I have to offer is words of encouragement. What good is that? It pisses me off! Why did one of my best friends have to die before 50? Why did my ten year old cousin get cancer? Why did my mom have to suffer for years? Why the $#@% can't I do anything about it?! Powerless.

So I decided I'm going to use what power I have, see definition 2, to do my part to fight this shit ass disease. Literally. Lacing up the gloves and focusing my energy and will towards raising money to fight back has given me an incredible sense of power again. I can do SOMETHING! I can focus all the negative of these experiences into a somewhat positive outcome.

Join and support me in this journey as I train my body, mind, and heart to be the best fighter I can become. My family and friends didn't go down without a fight and I can guarantee you I won't as well on May 7th.
