Cancer touches the lives of so many, and for me, this fight is personal. I am honored to step into the ring as part of Haymakers for Hope, a charity boxing event dedicated to raising funds for cancer patients and their families. This incredible event supports those battling cancer by funding research, treatments, and support programs.
My connection to this cause runs deep. During high school, my father bravely faced a stomach cancer diagnosis, teaching me the true meaning of strength and resilience. Then, in 2010, my brother was diagnosed with melanoma, a battle he fought with courage and determination. Their experiences have shaped who I am and inspired me to take on challenges that push me beyond my limits.
At 38 years old, I’ve decided to honor their legacies by doing something that truly takes me out of my comfort zone. My brother always encouraged me to embrace challenges, and this event is my way of embodying that spirit. I know both my father and brother will be with me in spirit, guiding me every step of the way as I train and prepare for this journey.
In addition to honoring my father and brother, I am also fighting for friends and family currently dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Their strength inspires me daily, and I am committed to supporting them and countless others through this event.
Through this fight, I aim to raise awareness and funds for those who need it most, giving hope to patients and their families as they navigate their own battles. Your support means the world to me, and together, we can make a difference.
