Like most people in this world, I have seen the impact cancer has on loved ones. I lost my Grandfather to a 19-year battle with Prostate Cancer when I was in high school and I have watched my Grandmother fight Ovarian Cancer for the last 8 years. It is a disease that is talked about so often that you can become numb to it. But when you see it up close it truly is one of the hardest things to watch someone go through. I am fighting, likely not to find a cure for my own grandmother, but for the next generation of people affected by cancer.
