Goal
Haymakers for Hope’s mission is to knockout cancer the only way we know how, by literally fighting for a cure.
I’m fighting in recognition of all who have battled, or are currently battling cancer, and to bring awareness to the tremendous progress being made in cancer research today.
We all know that cancer is a devastating disease, and with a lifetime diagnosis risk of nearly 40% and over 16 million Americans currently fighting, cancer affects most of us in some shape or form. Thankfully, much progress has been made in recent years. I've been fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside a number of scientists and individuals from the Boston life sciences community advancing the next-generation of cancer treatments and I’m continually inspired by their passion for helping patients. Their resilience and drive in the face of the numerous challenges that come alongside cancer research and development reminds me of those that are battling this terrible disease everyday, and I saw Haymakers for Hope as a perfect opportunity for me to help those who continue to fight.
Over the next four months, I’ll be training at UFC Gym Boston prior to fighting on May 11th. In parallel, I've committed to raising a minimum of $10,000 through a combination of donations and ticket sales, of which primary proceeds will be dedicated to the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Boston.
No amount is too small, I sincerely hope you'll join me and consider donating towards this great cause!
More information about Haymakers For Hope:
We give everyday men and women the opportunity to fight back against this terrible disease by training for, and competing in charity boxing events to raise money and awareness. To prepare for each event, we combine the efforts of the first time amateur boxing participants, local boxing gyms and volunteers. We hope to help give life saving researchers the resources needed to fully focus their efforts on finding a cure.
