On May 11th, 2023, I will be stepping into the ring in my first ever boxing bout on behalf of Haymakers for Hope. It is an incredible non-profit organization dedicated to raising awareness of the effects of cancer and combatting them. 

The reason this organization is close to my heart is because many of my close friends and family members have suffered from cancer and continue to do so. I fight for my uncle in Iwo, Nigeria; I fight for my family friend in Woodbury, New Jersey; I fight for all the warriors who combat this horrific disease every day.

It is a great honor for me to dedicate time and energy towards this cause. It is not a decision that I took lightly. Over the next four months, I will be training intensely for my bout and, more importantly, embarking on my fundraising initiative. I will dedicate the money raised to the Adult Survivorship Program at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute based in Boston, MA.

While I have committed to raising at least $10,000 for Haymakers for Hope, with your support, I believe we can far surpass this!

We give everyday men and women the opportunity to fight back against this terrible disease by training for and competing in charity boxing events to raise money and awareness. To prepare for each event, we combine the efforts of the first time amateur boxing participants, local boxing gyms and volunteers. We hope to help give life saving researchers the resources needed to fully focus their efforts on finding a cure.
