I fight to honor my father, Albert Hanin, a non-smoker who fought lung cancer bravely, and might have survived had he gone earlier for a chest scan to diagnose his lingering cough.  I fight because far too many close to me have been dealt life-altering blows by an impossibly elusive opponent.  I fight to assert control over a random and invisible foe.  I fight because I can.
