When I was 20 years old I was a living organ donor for my Uncle who had liver cancer. I donated 70% of my liver in 2002. That experience had such a profound impact on my life in so may ways.
Since then, battling and beating cancer is a cause that I hold very close to my heart, which has become even more real as two of my former Towson University Lacrosse teammates were diagnosed with cancer this year. As they both embark on their journeys to triumph over cancer I have asked myself, what can I do to help?
It is an honor to announce my participation in Haymakers for Hope’s 6th annual Hope NYC event at The Hammerstein Ballroom on Thursday, Nov. 16, 2017. I am putting my heart and soul into preparing. I am committed to giving my all and I am asking you to make a donation in the name of my effort.
Thank you very much for your support, and I look forward to embarking on this journey together.
