Cancer has had a deep and lasting impact on my life. Both of my parents battled and survived it, while three of my four grandparents weren’t as lucky. I’ve seen what cancer can do up close: the fear in a diagnosis, the physical toll of treatment, the emotional weight it places on entire families.
There’s a particular kind of pain in watching someone you love suffer, knowing you can’t take it away. That helplessness stays with you.
Boxing is how I fight back. Health and fitness have always been part of my life, both personally and through my work at a wellness startup. But the ring asks for something deeper. When I train, I have to be fully present. To react. To hold my ground. It’s how I connect to the strength my loved ones showed—their focus, their grit, their refusal to give up.
I’m honored to fight for Haymakers for Hope on November 6th. This organization empowers everyday people to take real action in the fight against cancer. I’m proud to train not just for the fight, but for a cure.
Thank you for your support and for being part of this journey. Let’s knock out cancer, together!
