Goal
A dear family friend of mine’s Dad was diagnosed with colon cancer a few years ago. At first, things looked pretty grim, but the good news is, he kicked cancer’s you know what (fingers crossed this continues) and is doing VERY well. If he’s doing so well, you may be wondering why I am participating in Haymaker this year.
Well, I intended to fight last year in his honor (when things looked a bit more dire), but I got sick myself and had some spleen complications, which prevented me from participating. Needless to say, I promised their family I would step into the ring in his honor, and I intend to honor that promise, even with him doing so well – there is always research to be done / progress to be made in the fight against cancer. Plus, let's be honest, there are at least a few of you out there who would love to see me get punched in the face a few times.
With that said, my goal is to raise at least $25k - any and ALL support is greatly appreciated, and I look forward to seeing you on fight night. For those of you who have already donated, thank you SO MUCH, I truly appreciate it!!
