On November 3rd, 2022, I will be stepping into the ring and taking part in knocking out cancer.

Haymakers for Hope has given an opportunity to over 950 fighters and raised over $20+ million over the past decade.

I’ll be joined by 30+ fighters who have spent the past four months rigorously training for their moment in the square while simultaneously maintaining their busy lives.

I choose to step in the ring and fight on behalf of my late mentor and dear friend, Julie Stolzberg, who passed away from Colon Cancer. A beloved second-grade educator at The Dalton School, Julie touched the minds and hearts of not only her students but also countless children across New York City with her innovative and passionate teaching expertise. At her memorial service, more than 900 people came to the 92nd street Y to celebrate Julie’s life. I am honored and blessed to have established a deep friendship with Julie during my formative years.

My fundraiser is not only to commemorate her memory but also to support anyone who has been affected by this pernicious and life-altering disease. The stress and physical/mental pain of boxing pales in comparison to anyone diagnosed with Cancer.
