On September 16th, I’m stepping into the ring to fight to knock out cancer.

My Grandma Mary was diagnosed with cancer just days before the COVID-19 lockdown. Our family suddenly found ourselves unable to be by her side as she was hospitalized to start her treatment. But she didn’t fight alone.

A team of incredible medical professionals were by her side every day. These people made my grandmother’s treatment and recovery possible and are the reason our family has been able to enjoy bonus years with “Lady Mary”.

I’m stepping into the ring as a thank you to those who helped my grandma fight Burkitt's lymphoma and fighting for those who have lost their lives to cancer, for survivors, for those currently in the fight, and for the families, friends, and caregivers standing in their corners every step of the way.

Every donation funds cancer research and support initiatives through local beneficiaries as well as Haymakers for Hope's own special programming for cancer survivors.
