Goal

When some versions of you are only discovered through fire, you must decide whether you’re willing to step into it.
This year, I chose to run directly toward it.
I signed up (with a small push from an alum) knowing it would demand more from me than anything I’ve ever asked of myself physically, mentally, and emotionally.
I wanted the challenge. The next step.
The experience of reaching something bigger than myself.
Over the next several months, I’ll spend countless hours training, pushing past exhaustion, learning how to stay composed under pressure, and discovering what happens when discipline matters more than comfort.
But this fight isn’t really about boxing.
While I get to choose this challenge, millions of people facing cancer never got that choice.
This fight is voluntary. Cancer isn’t.
That perspective changes everything.
Every bruise, every hard round, every early morning, every moment of doubt, it all becomes meaningful when it’s tied to something far bigger than one night in the ring.
I want to honor the people who wake up every day and fight battles they never asked for — without applause, without certainty, and without the option to quit.
And I want to help raise money that creates real hope for individuals and families facing unimaginable circumstances.
I make you one promise: when the bell rings, I will leave every ounce of myself in that ring.
Because sometimes the most important thing you can do in life is stop running from the fire and discover who you become inside of it.
If this story moves you, I hope you’ll donate, buy a ticket, and come experience this night with me.
Let’s make every round count.
