This September, I’ll be stepping into the ring for Haymakers for Hope — and I’ll be fighting for something far bigger than myself. I’m fighting in honor of my aunt, Anita Karami. Anita was joy incarnate. Born in Iran, she raised two sons, made a life in Paris and Sweden, and lit up every room with her laughter and dance. Even when cancer spread through her body, she moved with a kind of grace and spirit that was uniquely hers, and continued to dance around the living room to her favorite Persian songs.
She passed away at 55. I fight to honor her strength, her joy, and her unstoppable spirit. Your donation helps fund life-saving cancer research — and every dollar brings us closer to a cure. Thank you for being in my corner.
