I am fighting for everyone who has had to fight for their lives against cancer. I am fighting for those who have had to watch their loved ones go through cancer diagnosis, treatments and recovery. I am fighting for those who have had cancer impact them in any way, shape or form. I am fighting for my maternal grandmother, Esther Elias, who beat breast cancer after a double mastectomy. I am fighting for my childhood best friend's mother, who is like a second mother to me and a breast cancer survivor. I am fighting for one of my best friends, who fought and beat childhood leukemia as a toddler and who, despite fertility issues being a common side effect of cancer treatments, has beautiful twin boys. Lastly, I am fighting for my cousin who turned 18 this year and will be going to college this fall after beating the rarest form of childhood leukemia.
