Over the years as a film producer, I’ve crossed paths with many whose lives have been impacted greatly by cancer. Marie I. whose bout cost her her breasts, Grace W. who battled cancer twice before she was 18, and all the children of Vanderbilt hospital in Nashville whose diagnosis made them grow up too fast.

Standing behind the lens, I got a glimpse of their pain and their struggle. But in telling those stories, I learned about something far greater; their resilience, their strength, their positivity, and most importantly, their fight.

So I’m lacing up my gloves and stepping in the ring. They didn’t let cancer derail them, define them, or most importantly, defeat them. So on June 16th, I plan on doing the same…as an ally, as a supporter, and most importantly, as a friend. Join me in my fight for them.
