After attending H4H in 2019 and seeing the quality of production as well as the amount of money that was raised for so many amazing cancer organizations, I realized I had to get involved! In the summer of 2019, one of my close friends and former NFL player (Jeff Blackshear) died from pancreatic cancer. Jeff aka Black was a true gentle giant that would do anything for anyone! He left behind his children and so many family and friends that adore him! I'm fighting for the over 1600 people we lose to cancer every day and I dedicate this fight to Jeff Blackshear who we lost to cancer on 8/31/2019. I have learned no matter what I'm faced with a just smile while welcoming opportunity and adversity with open arms! I'm determined to achieve greatness and leave a legacy but must remind myself success is about the journey, not the destination and the most important things are to be humble and show empathy to everyone as people you encounter are fighting a battle you know nothing about, so we must be kind while we live, love and experience life!
