I signed up to take on this crazy adventure to fight for my family. I fight for my Aunt Diane. She recently had a cancer scare with a left temporal. Brain surgery went well and the tumor was found to be benign. Her strength through that fight was very honorable. I fight in memory of family members that left us too soon because of cancer. My beloved grandmother passed in 2020 during the heart of COVID. I left Denver to my home town Columbus, NE to be her caregiver as she struggled with a very rare cancer called Leiomyosarcoma. She was no longer able to perform many daily functions, so as my business transitioned virtually, I accepted the opportunity to assist her until her passing. During the three months I was with my grandmother, I found inner strengths and abilities that I didn’t even know I had…I also found a greater sense of purpose for my own life. H4H is giving me more opportunity and purpose to my life to aid in cancer research and fight with my aunt and for my loved ones that have lost their lives from cancer. I also fight in memory of: Great Aunt Lucille (Ovarian Cancer), Great Uncle Kenny (Colon Cancer), Great Grandfather Herman (Stomach Cancer), Great Aunt Doris (Lung Cancer), Great Uncle Milt (Esophageal Cancer) and even though he is a dog I fight in memory of my furbaby Samuel who lost his life to cancer at 17.
