In Spring of 2019 I lost several people close to me in the space of a few months. I found myself in a negative headspace as I tried to process the pain and loss that I was experiencing. As I worked my way through the fallout of those losses, I came to accept that life will always have negatives that want to take from us, and that the way we fight back is by working to create positives in the world around us. My fight with Haymakers for Hope is my small contribution toward trying to create a positive in the negative world of cancer. This is a personal fight for me as I have several friends and family members who have had to contend with this disease, and I hope that my effort can bring some positivity to those who are in the fight of their lives with cancer.
