I'm excited and humbled to step into the ring on October 13, 2022 to KO Cancer. I'm fighting for the young patients and families served by The Ulman Foundation (https://ulmanfoundation.org/) and for all the volunteers, donors and fundraisers who have supported our mission for the past 25 years. My hope through this journey and effort is to raise as much money as possible to help Ulman deepen its impact on patients and families in the DC/MD/VA area, raise awareness of this awesome cause and commemorate a very special milestone for me and the organization - celebrating 25 years of service in 2022. 



Ulman Foundation is a cause I've been fortunate call home for over 22 years serving as its first full-time paid employee to its current President & CEO. The organization was founded in 1997 with a mission to create a community of support for young adult cancer patients, and their loved ones, impacted by cancer. 2022 marks the organizations 25th Anniversary and Haymakers for Hope is my opportunity to do something big, scary and courageous to support an awesome cause. 

On a very personal level, Ulman Foundation supported me and our family 21 years ago when my mom was diagnosed with Stage IV colorectal cancer. Despite great medical care and love and support of our family, my mom tragically ran out of time just four short weeks after her diagnosis passing away on March 17, 2000. Since her passing, I've committed myself to ensuring no young adult has to face cancer alone leading this organization to become one of the oldest and largest nonprofits in the country serving young cancer patients and families. 

During my time as Ulman's CEO, I've asked, encouraged, persuaded and sometimes begged people to do some amazing and crazy things for the cause. Thousands have biked and run across the country, completed marathons & Ironman Triathlons, organized massive events, just to name a few. Haymakers for Hope is my opportunity to be courageous, get uncomfortable, and do something big for the organization.
