I fight in the honor of my family members and co workers who have lost their battles to cancer. I especially fight in the honor of kids effected who can’t fight for themselves. The courage and strength that an individual shows throughout their journey is heroic. This event has given me the opportunity to fight back against the terrible disease that has effected many of the Local 537 men that I’ve worked with. I’m competing for the families who have supported a loved one through their cancer battle and I hope my efforts bring awareness to preventative care and survivorship for my community.
