Along with Haymakers for Hope, I’m joining the fight against cancer.  The worthiness of the cause speaks for itself and the novelty of using boxing to raise awareness provides a unique opportunity to join this critically important fight against a disease who’s time should be behind us, but is not yet.  I’m proud to join my fellow fighters in the ring on October 13th to help battle cancer. 

As with everyone, cancer has taken loved ones from my family and friends and has impacted so many others.  I will be fighting, in particular, for my late Aunt Kay; I'll also be fighting for a former professor who is bravely battling this disease; and I'll be fighting for future generations who will hopefully, and finally, be ridden of cancer and its impact on their lives of those of their friends and families.
