Haymakers for Hope gives everyday men and women the opportunity to fight back against this terrible disease by training for, and competing in charity boxing events to raise money and awareness.

Personally, I saw the fight against this terrible disease first hand at a young age as my grandfather passed away from cancer when I was 8 years old. His battle w/the disease and the impact it had on my family, particularly my Mom, is something that I will never forget.

I have been active in trying to raise awareness for the fight against cancer through various groups since college. At PSU, I was an active participant in Penn State Dance Marathon which is the largest student run philanthropy in the country and raises money for pediatric cancer. During my professional career, I have helped fundraise for other organizations such as the Pan Mass Challenge. At MFS Investment Management, I am a member of our Healthcare Sector team and frequently hear about the progress being made in the fight against cancer.

While likely small in the grand scheme of things, I hope to contribute to the effort of finding a cure by getting in the ring and fundraising for Haymakers for Hope.
