I’m fighting because I’ve seen some of the best people I've known- friends, family, coworkers- taken way too soon by cancer. Individuals who had plans to give so much more to the world, but were suddenly and tragically stripped of that chance.
I'm fighting because I want my sister and mother to show up to their job one day, and for their bosses to say "Our sincerest apologies- you’ve been model employees, but we just don’t have the customer base we used to, so we’re shutting down operations- it seems cancer is just a thing of the past”.
But most importantly, I’m fighting for those who bravely face their own fight every day.
