Almost everyone can relate with the struggle of knowing someone who has been affected by cancer.

For me personally my family has seen this disease far more than once. My Omi in her life has successfully fought off skin,colon, and breast cancer. My Aunt Rosemary has already fought triple negative breast cancer once and now recently is going through the process of having another tumor removed. Her daughter, my cousin Kristin has also fought a similar battle getting a double mastectomy. All three generations of women affected by cancer in my family and yet all three times I have seen these resilient women fight off cancer and win.

These women are my inspiration in fighting and fundraising. I hope to fight as hard as they have while raising money against such an awful disease.

In my own life I have worked in oncology research hands on. Starting my biotech career doing small peptide radiochemistry research and then switching into cell studies. From there I now work hands on in a lab working with pathologists to analyze cells and get patients answers in their diagnostics.

This cause lives very close to my heart and I hope that the money I raise can help fund further research and breakthroughs in curing such a widespread disease.
