Goal

Cancer affects everyone. According to the American Cancer Society, there are nearly 5,200 new cases of cancer diagnosed each day.
While it has been extremely fortunate that those closest to me diagnosed with cancer, including my father and best friend, have won their battles, I know this is not always the case. From children whom I spent time with at Memorial Sloan Kettering while waiting for their chemo treatment, to a mentor that is gone far too soon, it is not lost on me how relentless and indiscriminate cancer can be.
Since joining EverybodyFights in 2021, I have become increasingly grateful to move my body each day and push my limits to grow stronger and faster. For those battling cancer, this is not an option; instead, the disease and treatment dictates their body’s limits and abilities. With this, I am honored to train for the next 4 months to step in the ring come October as a dedication to those whose fight does not end at the bell.
With a proposed budget cut of 40% in federal funding for the National Cancer Institute, the largest funder of cancer research in the world, it is now more important than ever to donate to this cause. Join me in the fight to KO cancer–every dollar counts!
