In 2016, I lost the absolute love of my life, my mother, to Glioblastoma. My grandmother, my Aunt, my Uncle and my father all succumbed to this terrible disease as well.
I am a HR professional and do work with benefits and leave and am so often contacted and touched by stories of my co-workers dealing with their own cancer or caring for family members who are ill. It's time to stop cancer.
Over the next 4 months, I will go on a journey learning to box, getting in better shape and getting hit. This will all culminate in a live bout against another brave cancer fighting warrior.
I will fight hoping that other loved ones, friends and co-workers don't have to experience the heartache called cancer.
