I'm fighting for the many people in my life touched by cancer. My uncle and grandfather, lost to lung cancer. My sister, who has had melanoma. My mother, who endures regular biopsies to guard against esophageal cancer. Beyond my family, I’ve lost friends and neighbors, and I’ve seen survivors fight courageously to live.

I’m deeply committed to accelerating the science that will find a cure. Every day, through my work at the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, I’m helping advance groundbreaking cancer research. When I look at what’s possible today, I am amazed by the extraordinary progress we’re making. But there is much more work to be done.

Through this fight, I'm investing my own “sweat equity” in the cause. All of the funds I raise through online donations will go to the Cancer Program at Broad Institute.

Getting hit in the face can be scary, but it pales in comparison to fighting cancer.
