Three days before the birth of my older son in 2014, my father-in-law lost his battle with kidney cancer at age 60. My boys are missing out on growing up with the love and support my father-in-law had to offer, just as my siblings and I had to grow up without our grandfather, whom we lost to lung cancer prior to our births. 

This fight is for those who do the hardest things of all: the courageous ones who have to fight cancer, and the strong ones who have to carry on after the loss of a loved one.
