Like many others cancer has affected friends and family, young and old,  close to my heart. A battle that is physically strenuous and fiercely mental, I am in awe of those who wake up everyday and continue this fight. 

Although this struggle is not my own I fight on behalf of every person who has been through or will go through it. The donations that will go to cancer research are only a small repayment for the inspiration and motivation they give me to pursue this match in the ring. 

This journey to me is about mental toughness, taking a risk, self realization and coming out on the other side a better person for myself and those around me regardless of the outcome.The power we each harness is insurmountable, and those facing a fight for life remind us of that everyday, and I will be carrying that with me every time I walk into the gym. I am humbled to fight for a cause that is bigger than all of us, and with a group of women united towards a common goal. Fight until you think you can't fight anymore, and then keep going.
