Goal
Haymakers for Hope’s mission is to knockout cancer the only way we know how, by literally fighting for a cure.
I want to take a stand again cancer, fighting with my own body, with my own effort, my own blood, sweat and tears to not only show the people I love that I am literally fighting for them, but to also fight to raise money to help them. Sometimes fundraising feels like you're not doing enough but with Haymakers for Hope, I am able to feel like I am physically doing something to help. Many family members and friends of mine have been effected by this: my grandfather passed away from leukemia, my grandmother is a breast cancer survivor, my cousin is a thyroid cancer survivor as we'll as a fellow MCPHS graduate, other family members and friends. The list is long. I also recently lost both of my dogs to two different type of cancer.
Cancer has no boundaries, cancer is not bias, and holds nothing back. For those fight, I am in your corner and for now on, you will be in mine. You will push me where I do not think I can go. Your strength and courage will help me through this because this is only a fraction of what you go through. You will be my motivation and you will all be guiding me in my corner on fight night. I couldn't ask for a more meaningful cause to support and this is why I fight for you.
We give everyday men and women the opportunity to fight back against this terrible disease by training for, and competing in charity boxing events to raise money and awareness. To prepare for each event, we combine the efforts of the first time amateur boxing participants, local boxing gyms and volunteers. We hope to help give life saving researchers the resources needed to fully focus their efforts on finding a cure.
