I fight to honor my mom, Trish Courant, who lost her battle with cancer in 1999 and my teammate, Judy Layzer, who lost her battle in 2015.  The courage of these strong women has inspired me to step into the ring to raise money for cancer research. Watching a loved one battle cancer is a heart breaking, helpless ordeal. I am grateful for the opportunity to be of consequence, to fight along side those warriors who continue to battle cancer and to fight for those who are no longer able to.  I fight with the hope maybe one day we will beat this disease and no one will have to fight anymore.
