My name is Alexis, and I’m a filmmaker from Austria running my first marathon — the Copenhagen Marathon 2026 — with Haymakers for Hope to fight cancer in honor of my grandmother.

She’s been battling breast cancer for nearly ten years, and after learning she may only have a few months left, I decided to dedicate this run and an upcoming short documentary to her. Training for the marathon has become part of that story — a way to turn pain into purpose and celebrate her strength.

Every kilometer I run will be for her, and for everyone fighting cancer with love and courage.
