Hi everyone, thank you for stopping by my donation page as I prepare to step into the ring for the very first time!

Over the next few months, I’ll be preparing to compete in the Beltway Brawl amateur boxing match, but most importantly, working to raise funds for cancer research. 

I’m fighting for both my personal loss due to cancer, but also in recognition of the widespread impact this disease has had on the world. I’ll be dedicating this fight to two remarkable women lost to the cruelty of ovarian cancer. To Linda Matthews, a mom who left too soon, but with unending love in the hearts of my adopted siblings,  and to Pat Rusk, a dear family friend and educator who fought in her own ring for all kids in Utah’s public schools (my home state) to have a chance. This fight is a tribute to them and to everyone whose lives have been impacted by cancer. It's for those who are directly affected and for those who stand beside them, sharing in their pain and their fight.

I can’t wait to bring you alongside me on this journey, as we use the metaphor of boxing to embody the spirit of resilience and the commitment to keep throwing one more hook (in my case, a left hook) until we knock out cancer for good.

Join me as I literally get punched for a cause, but remember that each hit I take is a hit against cancer.
