Cancer has impacted people from all walks of life. It shakes me every time I hear about someone struggling with this terrible disease. They are in for the fight of their lives.
I do notice, however, in many of those that have had to endure surgery and treatment, their fighting spirit never fades. We show up to support them and somehow they still amazingly provide us comfort with their strength and positivity. In the face of cancer, they become the inspiration to me and everyone around them.
Getting in a boxing ring is a bucket list item for me. But Haymakers for Hope gives me the opportunity to fight for so many of my family and friends that were hurt by cancer, and for those that lost their battle with cancer.
For me personally, cancer has directly affected my family and so many others close to me. There’s too many to name. The list is long and keeps growing. So I’m going to fight back on May 8th, but I need your help to make it worthwhile.
