Why I box

"You never know how strong you are, until being strong is the only choice you have."

-Bob Marley

I fight in memory of my grandfather Paul Dinneen.

I fight in honor of my grandparents Janice and Ronald Brisbois.

I fight in honor of my mom Maryellen who continues to fight breast cancer. Her strength and positive attitude remains unwavering after 16 years.

I fight in honor of my great Uncle Butch.

I fight for the patients and their families whom I see at the hospitals and clinics each day battling cancer.

I fight for those who do not have the opportunity to be treated with the medications of today or the scientific breakthroughs of tomorrow.

In no way can I compare this boxing match to the real fight that individuals and their families go through each day. But I fight in hope that one day, these donations and fundraising will help lead to more effective treatment options and even a cure.

I would like to thank my family, friends, and coworkers for their encouragement. I would especially like to thank my wife Emily, who not only supports my crazy ideas but encourages them. I would like to thank EverybodyFights for training me from now until fight night.

And most of all, I would like to thank each and every one of you for your support and donations. And on May 11th, I look forward to seeing you at Rock and Rumble XII at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway.
