I am boxing in this year’s Haymakers for Hope “Rock 'N Rumble XII” on May 11th, 2023 at the MGM Music Hall at Fenway!

@haymakers4hope puts on amazing events all over the country to raise funds to help #KOCancer.  I am honored to be selected as one of the fighters from Boston and am lucky to be training at @nonantumboxing.

The weekend I got selected for Rock ‘N Rumble XII I was preparing my kids to say their final goodbye to their grandmother.  Gigi had been fighting Cancer hard for over 18 months but cancer was winning.  We knew she was in her last round and all she asked for was to see her grandson Charlie before the final bell.  Charlie made the drive to Gigi’s house, climbed into bed with her and made her smile and laugh one last time.  Gigi looked at her husband and my wife and said “I’m ready to go now”.  Charlie left her with a hug and a kiss not knowing that the next morning she would be gone.

My grandmother Alice, also battled Cancer.  After her treatments were over, she always said she was never the same.  She said going through treatment felt like having the biggest strongest guy you knew punch you in the stomach until you threw up.  She would always say how she couldn’t imagine children even babies having to deal with that kind of pain.

I decided to team up with @onemissionofficial in their fight to support pediatric cancer patients and their families.  Kids with cancer are still just kids. They love movie nights, ice cream and pizza parties, music, toys, and games. One Mission does whatever it takes to make those things possible for patients and their families. Whether it’s providing art kits and crafts, putting on holiday celebrations or paying for expensive hospital parking, they make life brighter for children and their families from the moment of diagnosis, through treatment and beyond.

• $10 provides a 1 day parking pass for a family.


• $25 can provide two toys for a Junior Good Box care package, giving patients a reason to smile.


• $50 can provide 2 end of chemo celebrations.


• $100 can fund 3 birthday parties allowing children to celebrate while in the hospital.


• $250 can fund a yoga or meditation session, helping ease the physical and emotional pain of cancer.

I have a fundraising goal of $10,000.00.  All that money is going directly to support the fight against cancer and to the families and patients that are in the fight.  Please donate whatever you can and share this post so we can all help #KOCancer.
