"It's what you do with fear that matters " - Cus D'Amato
I am a 55 years old with a wife and 2 kids. I work for a large wealth management firm spending most of my day thinking about analytics and artificial intelligence. If you told me 1 year ago I would be competing in a real boxing match, I would have laughed. But thanks to my friend and trainer Keenan Charles and the rest of the crew at Gotham Gym, I have learned to love the sport of boxing and am privileged to even to be able to step into the ring on November 18th. Boxing has transformed my body and reinvigorated my commitment to physical fitness.
And when the opportunity presented itself to use this platform to raise funds and awareness in support of the fight against cancer I decided to fight. I will personally be fighting in support of Hope & Heroes which is Columbia Presbyterian's world renown pediatric cancer center - conducting both innovative research and providing the highest quality care possible, regardless of economic means.
My wife Jeannine lost her mom to breast cancer at a very young age which left her and her 3 sisters without a mom. I never knew her mom, but to this day, I am saddened for her loss. This among many other reasons is why I fight.
Please join me in my fight against cancer.
