4 weeks before the Haymakers event I got the call saying someone got hurt and we need someone to step up. I was hesitant at first about committing to fight in a boxing match with only 4 weeks to train. I thought about it for 10 minutes before I realized anyone who has ever found out they have cancer weren't given any time to prepare for their fight. No time to decide if they do or don't want to participate. They have no choice. No choice but to find the courage to start the next day... I wrote back, "i'm in" 

I've lost cousins to cancer, my aunt, family friends and more. My grandma just fought cancer for the 4th time. She is 87 and undefeated. Even my Mother has come face to race with cancer and knocked it out into remission. Now I get to fight for them.

With 4 weeks to go, i'm stoked to get started and grateful I can be a part of an incredible organizations fighting to raise money, raise awareness and raise hope for those that need it. Fuck Cancer.
